Historical Information

A building is shown on the 1834 OS 6” map. However, it does not appear in the first Valuation (c.1835), indicating that its valuation was less than £5. It is probably the same building as existed until recently. First HMBB survey card states, “Pre 1834. A single storey house with harled and whitened stone walls and slated roof. D/H (double hung) windows with plain sashes flank a projecting porch containing a modern door. There are two D/H windows with full g/b (glazing bars) at rear.
