Shown on 1834 OS 6” map and cited in the c.1835 Valuation book as belonging to George Denver and measuring 63ft x 17ft x 6ft. It was obviously raised at a later date as the first HMBB survey card states: “Pre 1834. A two storey house with harled, colour washed walls and slated roof. Windows are d/h (double hung), some with full g/b (glazing bars) and some with panes divided in two by single vertical g/b. There are gabled porches at front and rear.” The first HMBB survey slide shows the rear elevation (to field) which may have been a garden at some time. The building is three bays wide and two storeys high. It has a cement rendered chimney to each end gable and on either side of the central bay. Its walls are ochre coloured wash. Each bay is quite wide and contains a 6/3 sliding sash window to ground floor and a similar smaller one to first floor (although that to left bay is a 2/2 sash). The right bay is abutted to right side by a single storey gabled porch. It has a pitched natural slate roof, with ridge at eaves level of main roof, and walls as the main block. Its gable has a plain bargeboard with turned timber finial and a 6/3 sliding sash window. Its right cheek has a small 4/4 sash window and its left cheek contains a door with glazed top panels. An aerial photograph in possession of the current owner shows the front elevation to have a gabled windbreak porch to left side of middle bay, to the right of which is a window to G/F, and the F/F of which is blank. Left and right bays have a window to each floor; those to F/F are diminished in height with heads at eaves level. The right gable has two small windows at F/F level.
