Exterior Description And Setting

A single-storey, three-bay hipped-roofed lodge with a gabled projecting porch, in a derelict condition. Roofs of Bangor Blue slates in regular courses. Walls smooth rendered but missing in places to reveal basalt rubble walling and brick dressings. Central chimney, smooth rendered. Windows blocked up. Boundary wall and gatescreen of greystone. Setting: the building stands immediately behind the screen wall at a secondary entrance to a large country house estate, within the built up area of a village, with its side wall close to and parallel to the main road.
