Exterior Description And Setting

Small single storey gabled house (the E part of a short single storey block) at the northern edge of Shore Road. Front N facade has a timber sheeted door to the far right with three sash windows (with ‘Georgian’ panes), to the left. The E gable has a small modern window to the left. To the rear is a small lean to tiny kitchen extension, with a modern door and window on its E face. To the left of the extension (on the main house) is a modern window. The facade is finished in plain render. The roof is pitched and covered in corrugated ‘iron’ with two small rendered chimney stacks. PVC rw goods. Low rendered curving wall to front. High rendered wall to rear enclosing small yard.

This house is shown on the OS Maps of 1833/4 and 1858-60, and is probably one of the 67 1-storey houses in the village noted in the OS Memoirs of c.1832-4.
