Exterior Description And Setting

Site of former two storey manse house originally built in 1859/60 and demolished c.1982 with modern sheltered dwellings now on site. Description from 1st Survey card "2/sty house. Roof slated, gable ends, plain barges on brackets. Chimneys yellow brick. Walls rendered, lined abd painted. Corbelled eaves. Vermic. Quoins, level base. East front has 3 F/FL & 2 Gr/FL D/H windows, horizon. Astragals, moulded architrave, decorated keystone. Central doorway now enclosed by projecting porch with shed roof & with glazed walls and flush panel door on RHS. Main doorway has segmental arch head, mld architrave, 4 pane fanlight, 2 pane sidelight & glazed & panelled door."

The manse originally on this site was built in 1859/60 on land leased from Andrew Mulholland of Springvale. The building was demolished in c.1982.
