Exterior Description And Setting

A two-storey gabled house with a two-storey rear return all finished in smooth cement render, painted, together with a range of outbuildings in basalt rubble. Symmetrical entrance front to house, five windows wide to first floor, all rectangular timber sliding sash, vertically hung, 1 over 1, with horns; three-bay ground floor consisting of central entrance with sidelights and fanlight, flanked by tripartite windows, sashed as previous, all set in segmental headed openings. Setting: the building stands at the end of a long approach driveway on axis with front entrance gateway and iron gates, situated in open countryside near the village.
