Exterior Description And Setting


A 1930s cinema designed in a modern style, originally with faience cladding and such characteristic features as porthole windows, horizontal glazing bars to large rectangular windows and doors, but now has faience painted over, portholes covered over with square panels and original glazed doors replaced by plate glass in new frames. Setting: the building stands within the built-up area of the town facing a main road and set back slightly from it, with two-storey gabled houses to each side.
