Exterior Description And Setting

Left of a pair of three storey houses on north side of Corry’s Square. Artificial slated roof is pitched, with hip to left and gable on party wall with adjacent property. Roof has four modern vents to front pitch, no chimneys and semicircular plastic rainwater goods. Wall to south elevation is lined cement render with raised chamfered basecourse and stepped render quoins up left corner. String course between ground and first floors and similar between first and second floors. Main entrance is to ground floor left and consists of a timber door with plain glazed overlight transom. Door is four panelled (top two leaded glass) modern painted timber. To ground floor right is a single 1/1 modern 1/1 sliding sash window with render cill. There are two similar windows to each upper floor, with those to upper floor diminished in height. Left gable fronts Maginnis Street and is cement rendered and devoid of openings, its base course steps up the hill to rear. High wall continues to left and contains a small modern wrought iron gate (only access to rear) at left. Right gable is party wall with other in pair. (no 3) (HB16/25/008A). North (rear) elevation is modern smooth cement render and was not inspected to ground and first floors. Between first and second floors, to right of elevation is a modern 1/1 top-hung timber window and to second floor left is a similar smaller window, both have thin modern concrete cills.

Erected along with the adjoining house and the pair on the opposite corner when the houses along Maginnis St were erected.
