Exterior Description And Setting

The building is demolished and replaced by a public house known as Baltimore Bar. Extract from 1st survey, “a 1½ storey house with rendered walls and slated roof with modillioned eaves cornice. The entrance, surmounted by a 6 arch blind arcaded feature on console, is flanked either side by a D/H window in a panelled pilastered aedicule, with consoles supporting a moulded triangular pediment. The entrance is recessed in an elliptical arched opening, the door is flanked by solid panels, the fanlight has radial and circular astragals.” The building could have been described as a ‘Cottage orneé’.
