Historical Information

A building is shown on the is site on the OS map of 1834. Conceivably this house and shop may date from the early nineteenth century, or even earlier, however, in the absence of concrete evidence, its age can only be conjectured. A photograph of this property dating from c.1910 shows that whilst modern doors and windows have been installed, the openings have remained the same. The current owner (1997) informed the writers that No.32 has been a shop for over a century.
