Exterior Description And Setting

A gabled rectangular church of 19th century appearance which has had its bellcote removed, has undergone inappropriate remodellings, and has had a modern late 20th century flat-roofed porch added across its front. It stands in a rural
setting, in a grassed graveyard bounded by a basalt rubble wall. The first survey in 1970 recorded that 'The main gable is surmounted by a bellcote (without bell), there is an oculus above the porch with coloured glass where remaining, flanked by two mitred plaques of a sacred heart and crossed crook and keys.'
