Exterior Description And Setting


Two storey, stone built, rendered and white washed, 3 bay wide house with 2 storey barn in like manner all under one continuous natural slated roof. Sliding sash windows with exposed linings with 16 panes on ground floor and 9 panes on first floor. No gutters or downpipes to front of house. Gutter to rear. Two storey detached outhouse set at right angles to house and in front of it and in similar construction and finishes.

Evaluation


A good example of a two storey vernacular farmhouse with many of the features associated with the single storey type. It is now in very poor condition though possibly not beyond repair.
