Exterior Description And Setting


Modern brick restaurant building with patent glazed facade on the site of a storey and a half brick building which was in need of repair when first recorded in the early 1970s.

Historical Information


Recorded in first listing survey of June 1970 as: ‘ c1840. A 1½ storey house, with basement at rear. The building is constructed of red brick and the roof is slated. The front elevation contains two D/H windows, a six pane shop window, with double doors surmounted by a rectangular patterned fanlight. The entrance is recessed in a segmental arched opening. The door is flanked by two unfluted Doric columns supporting a decorated frieze and small cornice. The fanlight is glazed with modern obscure glass’. Reference Historic Buildings Records
