Exterior Description And Setting

Single-storey/ one-bay house facing south east with a gabled corrugated metal roof with stone chimney to right gable. Its walls are of large roughly-dressed and snecked granite blocks brought to courses. The main façade, which looks seaward, has a central door with a single window on either side (each with a dressed granite cill); that to the right is a 2/2 sliding sash. There are no openings on the gables or rear elevation. There is a lean-to outhouse on the right gable of coursed granite fieldstones and squared rubble.

The later 19th century date of this single-roomed dwelling is reflected in the use of dressed granite blocks as opposed to random rubble. It is said to have been a stonecutter’s house.
